Kerri got a Diana Mini and a 35mm and slide scanner. 2010 will be a good one.
Goal: Material for Cabermuckly & Resonhoe Volume 1.
Since the last time I posted, I nearly had a falling out with Diana. There was an epic concert fail when it came to the Mew photos.
After all the effort of both Kerri and I shooting two rolls of film each, only one photo came out at all. The rest of the film was just way too underexposed to do anything with. It’s fine, there are always more concerts. This just means that Mew has to come back to America again.
For the sake of Diana and my relationship, the roll of film that I’d shot beforehand turned out great. Unfortunately, I don’t have the prints on me, so they won’t be scanned until at least tomorrow.
That brings me to my next piece of news.
Being the internet junkie that I used to be (how having a full-time job has changed things!) I just signed up with Tumblr! However, instead of switching over to that format, I think I’ll be using that as a supplementary blog for photos only.
The plan is that it’ll be really easy to post one photo every day or week, depending on the supply and my availability. That way, at least I’ll put putting something out there in between the actual gaps in the blog.
While creating a more comfortable for the apartment, Kerri and I have started getting more of our work printed. We’re actually planning to showcase our photos on designated gallery walls.
Here are some of our prints:
If you’re interested in purchasing some of our stuff, shoot me an email or leave a comment.
So, I got pretty upset last week when I got three of the four contact sheets back from the developer. Looking at them again, I think they’re pretty cool. Not all hope is lost. And I’m sure the proofs that didn’t appear in the contact sheet may still have hope.
Of the shots that I can see, some weren’t what I was aiming for – but that comes with overcompensating for the viewfinder/lens difference.
Here are some of the results from those sessions:
Fujicolor Pro 800 (ISO 800)

Ramsey Farm (Wilmington, DE)

Kodak Ektachrome 160 (Slide film)

Columbus Circle (New York)
Kodak Ektar (ISO 100)

Castle on the Hudson (Tarrytown, NY)

Sleepy Hollow

I also “bought” a new camera today with my Thankyou Points from my credit card.
It’s a little plastic bewt I like to call Diana F+.

It’s a medium format film, lomography camera.
I will have no idea what I’ll be doing, but it will be a grand experiment indeed.

Once it arrives, my days off should be consisting of Kerri and I going on Photo Adventures with our plastic cameras!
