Book cloth

This here would be my first venture into making book cloth. Huzzah! Obviously, I’ve got some work to do in getting better, but one day, I will be unstoppable in the art of book making!

Harvo!

Congratulations, bro!!

Christmas Presents!

This year I decided that I would have a crafty Christmas. Everyone was going to be getting a handmade gift. Clockwise from top left: Cyanotype of orchids from BUGA in Germany, Block Print featuring my mom’s dog (who I call Pop Tart), hand bound journal with block print cover, and two stab bound journals.

Details beyond the jump (more…)

Holiday work!

In the month and a half before Christmas, I had my work cut out for me. I made it a little more difficult on myself by trying to learn some new techniques as well.

As you’ve seen, I tried my hand at stab bound books. I also made a few of those for some family members as well. To make them with a hard cover is much more difficult than I anticipated.

I also tried my hand at block printing with linoleum. I won’t be lying if I say that I kind of enjoy it.

The next few posts will be of the projects I’d been working on during the last few weeks.
